Do I need experience with any of these activities?
No prior experience is necessary; this hunt is beginner-friendly! 

 

Is transportation included?
No, transportation to and from the hunt is not included. 

 

Is airfare included in the cost?
No, airfare is not included. Guests are responsible for booking their own flights.

 

What’s the nearest airport?
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA-TAC)

 

Where is the hunt held?
Western Washington on private property provided by the outfitter. Further details to be provided upon booking.

 

Will I be sharing a room?
Yes, participants will have double occupancy rooms with single twin beds. 

 

Will there be Wi-Fi and cell service at the accommodation?
Wi-Fi will be available at the accommodations, but cell service may vary depending on the provider.

 

Are meals included?
Yes, your host will prepare all meals during the retreat.

 

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, dietary restrictions can be accommodated. Please inform us in advance to ensure proper meal planning.

 

Do I need any tags, licenses, or permits?
Yes, you will need appropriate tags and licenses.

What time will we be hunting in the morning? 

On hunt days, leave the lodge no later than 5:30 a.m. Plan to be hunting all day. 

 

Do I need to bring my own gun?
We recommend bringing your own shotgun and ammunition. However, loaner shotguns are available if needed. Please let us know prior to registration if you require one.

 

Do we need to sign a waiver?
Yes, all participants will be required to sign a waiver before attending the hunt and engaging in activities. The outfitter may require additional waivers.

 

What is the cost of this hunt?

The cost of this guided hunt including food and accommodations is $1,597

How do I reserve a spot for the hunt?
Simply book your spot by adding the hunt to your cart and completing the checkout process.

 

What is the refund and cancellation policy?
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your deposit to another participant or receive a 75% credit (of your payment) toward a 2026 HOJ event. In the unlikely event that the guides need to cancel, you will receive a full refund.

Do I need to be a certain age to attend?
Participants must be 18 years or older.

 

Will there be any free time?
Yes, the retreat schedule includes downtime for relaxation. 

 

Do I need to tip my guide?

While tipping is optional, it is greatly appreciated. 10-20% is standard.
