Choosing Your Mindset During Trials

Do you have days right now when you feel bipolar? In fact, in a matter of minutes, you may go from, “this will all be OK - I’ve got this.” To, “how on earth are we going to get through this? I don’t know if I can survive or keep my sanity.” Well, you are in the same boat as I am, and as many of us are these days. With so much uncertainty, it can be hard to navigate the trails of day-to-day life. The good news is, and if there can be a silver lining, it’s that we’re all in this together, and we really will get through it.

I want to step back a little farther than just the last few weeks and pour a bit more of me out than usual. Over the last couple of years, and more recent, months, life got a little crazy for me. I “stuck it out,” so to speak in areas of my life that I knew weren’t serving me in being my best self.

It wasn’t until the last several months that I knew I had to weigh the two sides - stay where I was, or be brave enough to make a change, even when it all felt so incredibly painful. It’s the latter of the two that have helped me see the light where I once only saw brokenness and hardened routine. It’s been navigating these times that have once again abruptly shown me that mindset controls all situations - and that isn’t just true for me, my friends - it’s true for you right now where you are. Although when I sat down to record this podcast the other day, I had no idea what I was going to say, the words came out. From the time I pressed record to the first word out of my mouth, I had zero plan. No topic. No direction. But eventually, the words came out, and I knew just what I needed to say. These words are for you today. These truths, they’re yours. This opportunity to choose a mindset of positivity, faith, and grace, you own it. Today’s message is for you - but it comes with responsibility. After you listen to today’s episode and read these words, I want you to pause your day and pass along some genuine love to someone else. Spread joy, encouragement, and appreciation for someone you know, or don’t. Just let someone know you care because this world is a much more beautiful place when we do.

You can also find the well written and incredibly insightful book, Super Attractor, by Gabrielle Bernstein here. As well as the highly motivating, and positive IGTV message from Rachel Hollis well worth the watch. Heck, it would even be worth getting an IG account if you don't have one - she's that good.

ENJOY THE JOURNEY.
